Tasty food, good portions and the pad see ew noodles weren’t overcooked like some places. Great spot to for some spice and veggies!

If you want authentic and delicious Lao food, order here! “Ahan Lao” literally translates to Lao Food, and it lives up to the name! The husband and wife team is so sweet and I have ordered here 3 times now, every time I’m in town. Staying at Gaylord Pacific, it’s right down the street. I ordered my OG Lao snacks - Lao Beef Jerky, Lao sausage, Fried Pork Belly and most importantly Lao Papaya Salad (extra spicy!). The meats come with Jaew bong, so order your sticky rice! I’ve only ordered to go, but they do have a couple tables in there if you wanted to dine in.

Now I know there were a lot of 5 star reviews for this restaurant but my 3 stars are only for the dishes I ordered today. I wanted to try out a new lao/thai restaurant . I’ve driven by this place many times and today was finally the day to try it. It is a hole in the wall mom and pop restaurant. The inside looks very homey .. small shop with a couple tables. They brought out paper plates for us so it really felt like home. I did not mind that at all. I love the menu layout it’s very straight forward.. it has the picture of the dish , the price .. very clear. I love that. We order on a digital kiosk that they would bring over to the table , which I also love .. and also helps with the language barrier I presume . You also pay as soon as you order too . My husband and i ordered boat noodles, pad kra pow and lao sausage. My favorite Thai dish is boat noodles and it’s very hard to find a good spot that makes them and that is the main reason I wanted to try this place . The bowl was huge .. filled with meats noodles veggies .. looked good. When i took a sip of the broth all i could taste was sourness .. very vinegary. I was disappointed .. that sourness overpowered the whole dis

This place is very small but clean and they have really good authentic Thai food. It gets pretty busy but worth it.

We had an excellent meal at Ahan Lao. We ordered the deep fried pork belly, yellow curry, pad see ew, papaya salad, and beef jerky, and every single dish was incredibly tasty and well-seasoned. The portions were very generous, and everything tasted fresh and made with care. Parking was also very easy, with a free parking lot available, which is a big plus. This is truly a small business worth supporting, the owner is also the chef, and even though she speaks only a little English, she is the sweetest and most welcoming person. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic, comforting food and a warm, genuine experience.
